More lawyers are finding themselves making provisions for pets in clients’ wills. Remembering a pet in a will, however, is not new, particularly in animal-loving Victoria. A parrot once stalled downtown development as it continued to squawk away in its deceased owner’s home, now site of the Chateau Victoria hotel, for more than two decades after her death in 1946.
